Dear Voters,
On September 24th in Waltham, I was able to secure the democratic nomination for Middlesex County Register of Probate.
I want to thank everyone who participated and kept me focused on the real things that are important to democratic voters, which is what I believe brought people to stand up with me.
It motivated me to know that so many of you wanted to vote for a nominee who could answer your questions, address your concerns, and plan for the future in their capacity as Register of Probate. Not too much to ask for and I am happy I could express myself well enough to stand out among such a talented pool of candidates.
To imagine that of the original 493 delegates present to vote in the first round of ballots, 445 remained to the end. I believe it was to insure that the democratic nominee was one who spoke for all of you and not just for a few.
Considering the short period of time in which this caucus was called, the organization and commitment of the Massachusetts Democratic Party was evident and, I believe, as my father has said, “exhibited the best of the democratic party.”
I would like to thank Larry DiCara, John Walsh and the other hard-working members of the state committee. Your efforts, from the first notification, to the security of the ballots and the organization of the night did not go unnoticed.
Thank you all again for your support and I would appreciate your vote in November.
